Haggerty, Goldberg, Schleifer & Kupersmith, P.C. is pleased to announce
that our senior litigation paralegal, Christine Flynn, has been chosen
to receive the 2015 Paralegal of the Year Award presented by Advocate
Capital, Inc. / AAJ. Ms. Flynn was selected from numerous entrants by
the AAJ Paralegal of the Year Committee.
Eligible candidates must have demonstrated a commitment to the AAJ’s
mission, value as members of a legal services team, and an overall dedication
to the legal profession. In being bestowed this esteemed award, Ms. Flynn
will receive a trophy and will be flown to the AAJ Annual Convention in Quebec.
James C. Haggerty, one of the firm’s partners, nominated Ms. Flynn
for this honor, saying that she has reliably performed at an outstanding
level during the nearly 25 years that she has worked with him. He also
praised her efforts for routinely going above and beyond to maintain close
contact with clients and assist them in any way possible. In short, she
is an invaluable guide who “navigates clients through the unfamiliar
waters of personal injury litigation.”
Ms. Flynn serves as chair and board member of the Litigation and Professional
Development Committees and is the former president of the Philadelphia
Association of Paralegals (PAP). In addition, she is a member of the Paralegal
Studies Advisory Board at the Community College of Philadelphia and serves
as Pro Bono Coordinator and Liaison to the American Bar Association (ABA)
for the Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service. She is also
board liaison to The Legal Intelligencer.
Ms. Flynn is also involved in a number of community service and pro bono
activities, including involvement with the Support Center for Child Advocates.
She is a mentor to paralegal students and maintains membership in the
Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice
(PAJ), and the National Notary Association (NNA).
Ms. Flynn has a number of duties as the firm’s senior litigation
paralegal, including summarizing all information and documentation in
a case, organizing all file materials, interacting with clients, and preparing
cases for trial. She also coordinates the efforts of the case managers
in supervising pre-litigation matters.
