Julianna Merback Burdo

Partner

Throughout her legal career, Attorney Julianna Merback Burdo has won millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for injured individuals. Her areas of focus include medical negligence or malpractice and catastrophic injuries. A skilled litigator, she has successfully held medical professionals throughout the state accountable for their negligence. Her meticulous attention to detail has allowed her to handle complex cases, such as those involving birth injuries, in a comprehensive manner.

Among her many impressive case results is a seven-figure settlement that she secured for an 11-year-old girl who died from hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy while under home nursing care. Other seven-figure results include cases involving dental malpractice, delayed recognition of compartment syndrome following knee replacement, stillborn baby/delayed c-section, and others. Her many million-dollar results earned her membership into the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum®. Beyond compensation, Julianna has forced businesses and health care facilities to change their internal practices. She is the Chair of the medical malpractice and catastrophic injury department at the Firm, and plays an integral role on our legal team at Haggerty, Goldberg, Schleifer & Kupersmith, P.C.

Julianna has been invited to lecture to members of the Philadelphia Bar Association on topics such as How to Evaluate and Make Decisions in Handling Your Medical Negligence Cases, and the Use of Surveillance in Pennsylvania. She has been featured in the cover page/story of Suburban Life magazine, and has numerous publications in The Legal Intelligencer on topics including Informed Consent and the importance of Mentorship.

Before becoming a Philadelphia personal injury lawyer, Attorney Julianna Merback Burdo was a paralegal, which instilled in her a deeply rooted passion to help others during their time of need. In the past, she has participated as a Coach in Temple University's mock trial program and has done pro bono work for the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (VIP). She is also a graduate of the Clifford Haines Trial Advocacy Program. In her free time, she enjoys breeding, riding, and training show horses and ponies. She lives in Newtown with her family.

If you wish to file an injury claim after being wrongfully injured, or suspect you have been injured by a medical error, Attorney Julianna Merback Burdo can carefully guide you through the entire process. In the event you are not offered fair compensation, she can take your case to court if necessary. Her seasoned trial skills have been demonstrated in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state and federal courts, as well as in Delaware and Illinois. Julianna could make all the difference in your case.
